Naturally Dealing with a Stye (Hordeolum)

Condition:

An acute localized pyogenic infection of one or more of the glands; generally affecting the eye area. Staphylococci usually are responsible. Recurrence is common.

Supplies:

Tea Tree Oil, bowl.

Remedy:

Place face over a bowl of hot water to which 5 drops of Tea Tree Oil has been added; steam for 5 minutes.

Warning: It is advisable not to apply oil directly to the eye area; as it will sting and may become irritated. If Tea Tree Oil gets into eyes, wash immediately with cold water.
