The oil is extracted from several variances of flowers: Narcissus poeticus, Narcissus tazetta and Narcissus jonquill. Sorts that bloom in May, among which the most important and quite rare variance is Narcissus poeticus, are used for production of essential oil for perfume industry.

Narcissus flowers have been typically used to treat spasms, congestion, indigestion, depression, muscle cramps, nervous tension, and inflammation. Massage, baths, vaporization and may be added to base emollients. It is a high-class perfumery ingredient and may also be used to fragrance candles, potpourri and room fresheners.
More info: Narcissus Absolute Oil is used in aromatherapy to reduce pain and provide relaxation. It plays a vital role in eliminating pain and driving out tension, anxiety, mental exhaustion and stress. It is highly beneficial for those people who often lose sleep due to pain or stress.

Precautions: Narcissus oil requires careful handling, because higher doses of narcissus oil can cause headache and vomiting. Also, allergic reactions to narcissus oil have been reported. Always dilute Narcissus Absolute Oil to 5% or less in a carrier oil before application.
