Bath Oils

Disappearing Bath Oil

  • 1 cup light oil (your choice, such as Almond, light Sesame or canola)
  • 1/2 cup Glycerin
  • 1/2 cup liquid Soap
  • Essential oils of your choice (up to 48 drops, as this makes 8 baths)

Makes 16 oz, enough for 8 baths. Mix together all the ingredients and pour into a clean bottle with lid or stopper. To use, shake gently and pour 1/4 cup into the bath under running water. There are two kinds of bath oils: those that float on top of the water (most oils will do this) and those that disperse or disappear into the bathwater.

By combing a natural oil together with Glycerin and Soap, you have a mixture that disperses through your bathwater. You create a bubble bath that works its way beautifully through your bath, leaving your skin soft and smooth. It makes a marvelous gift and can be enhanced by adding your favorite fragrance or scented oil.

Basic Bath Oil

  • 2 ounces Carrier Oil such as sweet Almond
  • 20 drops Lavender or 15-20 drops of your own blend of essential oils (be sure they are EOs that do not provide skin sensitization)

Blend the oils together and store in an amber or cobalt glass bottle. Do not use all 2 ounces of bath oil in one bath. After you have drawn your bathwater, add about 1/4 ounce (7-8ml) of the bath oil blend to your bath water. If you intend to use this bath oil with children, ensure that the oils that you have selected are safe for administration to children and use a smaller amount of the blend in the child’s bathwater.

Mix well to ensure that the blend has dispersed well in the tub and hop on in. It’s best to add the bath oil just before getting in the tub instead of while the water is running so that the oils don’t evaporate before you get into the tub. Using this bath oil blend is safer than adding pure EOs directly to the bath water. This is because the EOs can settle in one spot on your skin and cause irritation.

Arousing Essential Oils for the Bath

  • Clary Sage 2-3 drops
  • Jasmine 3 drops
  • Neroli 3-4 drops
  • Patchouli 1-2 drops
  • Pine 2-3 drops
  • Rose 3 drops
  • Sandalwood 5-6 drops
  • Ylang Ylang 3-4 drops

Add to your bath one of the Essential Oils or combine a few.

Peachy Cream Bath Oil Soak

  • 3 whole eggs
  • 1/4 cup plus 1 teaspoon witch hazel
  • 1/4 cup plus 1 teaspoon corn oil
  • 1 teaspoon cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 3/4 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup peach or apricot juice

Melt butter and mix with corn oil. Let stand one hour. Mix eggs and stir gently. Add all ingredients, one at a time, to blender, adding 1 cup of the milk last. Blend at low speed. Turn off blender and add last 3/4 cup milk, unbeaten. Stir. Keep refrigerated for freshness.

To use, shake and add 1/2 cup to bath water. Yields: 3 cups or 6 baths.

Garden Bath Crystals

Add the glycerine to the salt and stir or shake until all crystals are coated. Then add the essential oil or blend, drop by drop, and mix again. It’s that simple. Grape Seed Extract

Antioxidants help to fight free radical damage in the dermis and grape seed extract is one of nature’s best anti-aging antioxidants, and the perfect partner to collagen supplementation. Grape seed extract is especially beneficial because they are such a good source of oligomeric procyanidins (OPCs). OPCs are a type of flavonoid that binds with free oxygen radicals in the human system. They have been shown to have 50 times more antioxidant power than even the well-known abilities of vitamin E.

COLLACTIVE Marine Collagen and Elastin Polypeptides

From the age of 25, your body depletes collagen at approximately 1.5 percent each year. By the time you reach 45, you will have lost 30 percent of your body’s collagen.

COLLACTIVE is a clinically-proven, highly purified, non GMO form of collagen and elastin polypeptides that exist in the same ratio as found in the human dermis – a combination of predominantly type 1 collagen (85 to 90 percent) and type 3 collagen.

How do wrinkles form?

As we get older, the matrix of collagen and elastin in the dermis is damaged by free radicals. As a result of this the matrix shrinks which results in the skin folding…thus creating wrinkles and a need for collagen support. To avoid this happening you must supplement the collagen and elastin matrix by ‘topping up’ these components, PLUS provide potent antioxidants to reduce the damage from free radicals. This is why we have added a potent antioxidant in the form of grape seed extract in addition to the collagen and elastin complex in Skin-Support.
