Notes: Sesame seed should be blended with other carrier oils so it doesn’t overpower a blend.

• Scent: Faint with a sweet, nutty, sesame aroma
• Consistency: Medium to Thick
• Absorption/Feel: Leaves oily film on skin
• Color: Pale Yellow

Action: Emollient, antiaging, soothing, detoxifying

Benefits: A good source of vitamins E and B complex and minerals such as calcium, magnesium and phosphorus. Sesame oil further contains protein as well as lecithin. It is used for eczema, psoriasis as well as mature skin as it contains excellent moisturizing properties.

Sesame seed oil also has some sunscreen properties, but should not be solely relied on as a sunscreen except in an emergency. Sesame seed oil is good for blemishes, cuts, dandruff, scrapes, wounds, wrinkles, cooking and inflamed and sprained joints.

Chemical Analysis: Approximately 16% saturated fat, 40% oleic acid (an omega-9 fatty acid), 44% linoleic acid (an omega-6 essential fatty acid), less than 1% alpha linolenic acid (an omega-3 essential fatty acid)
