Helps reduce the signs of aging, especially fine lines around the eyes (crows feet) and lines around the mouth. In research by Dr Bertha Pareja and Dr. Horst Kehl, it was found that daily applications of rose hip oil helped with reducing wrinkles, as well as fading areas of sun damage on the skin.
It helps skin heal and regenerate and prevents formation of keloid scar tissue (thickening of the skin when forming scar tissue) and helps in healing burns, scars and stretch marks. In a further study, rose hip oil was found useful when used on surgical scars (applied twice daily).
Less visible scars, more skin elasticity and significantly improved skin color were noted when compared to patients not using rose hip oil. The same success is reported on burns when the oil was used to reduce scarring and returning the tissue to its normal and natural coloring.
