Legend has it that people used to plant Geraniums around their houses because the pungent aroma would help keep evil spirits away. Today the fresh, sublime aroma of Geranium is a staple of the perfume industry.

This is a lovely way to add the soft, rosy green scent of a summer floral to all your clothing and linens. In the summer months let your clothes and bed linens air dry on the clothesline, bringing them indoors when still slightly damp.

Add 2-3 capfuls of this ironing water into the steam compartment of your iron and infuse the fabric with the fragrant aroma. Alternatively, place 2-3 capfuls onto a cotton rag or handkerchief and toss with your clothes into the dryer. The uplifting, sumptuous aroma will freshen your wardrobe and linens.
